Job Summary**

We are seeking an eager individual with strong technical aptitude who wants to grow in the software field and help CooperVision’s ongoing effort to lead the category in digital capability. This full-time Project Manager will be part of CooperVision’s Global IT group and will report to the Director, Global Program Management. The Project Manager role is to help organize and deliver quality software projects to our customers. This position will work closely with the Director, Global Program Management and the management team to provide direction on scoping out large global business initiatives, creating project plans, then scheduling tasks and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget. **

Essential Functions & Accountabilities**

  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
  • Scoping of assigned projects to identify gaps, issues, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets.
  • Present project scope, plan and project hours to management for review and approval.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Establish project teams and steering committees as needed and provide appropriate training and/or knowledge transfers.
  • Source and manage other project managers for assigned projects as required.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and activities of project teams.
  • Working knowledge of features and user stories assigned to the development team to track along with and report out to technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Work closely with market and regional stakeholders on issues, maintenance requests, new features and feature enhancements to schedule accordingly with technical or commercial team to enhance product development and end user satisfaction.
  • Creation of workflows related to change management and continuous process improvements, then circulation and communication with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and present solutions to leadership team.
  • Facilitate communication, cooperation, and knowledge sharing for all team members and cross-functional stakeholders involved in assigned projects.
  • Communicate issues or complications in meeting project objectives and solution options to the steering committees promptly.
  • Foster best practice discussions among project team members and facility users to realize process improvements and cost saving opportunities.
  • Follow establish project methodology as defined by the Director, Global Program Management.
  • Minimizes exposure and risk on project.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables. Develops and delivers project status reports.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and changes to reporting manager.
  • Conduct project postmortems and make recommendations.

Work Environment:

  • Normal office environment or working remote.
  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job.
  • Extensive contact with employees and external business partners and vendors.
  • Global Travel may be required.

Experience:

  • Requires 7+ years’ experience in project management.
  • Prior experience in related technology position desired.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams

Education:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
  • PMP Certification preferred.

_ _For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $110,551 and $147,401 and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
