Your Opportunity

We're seeking a seasoned PR and Communications professional (a 12-month maternity cover contract) who thrives on crafting compelling narratives. Your role will be pivotal in executing our PR strategy across key markets, leveraging thought leadership initiatives, media relations, and agency collaboration to solidify our position as an industry leader. You'll have to elevate our profile through strategic media placements and foster meaningful relationships with journalists and industry influencers.

What is your job?

Strategic PR Leadership:

  • Build on and execute Leapsome’s existing PR strategy across key markets in Europe and North America to elevate brand awareness and establish Leapsome as an industry leader.

  • Drive thought leadership activities, including media Op-Eds, industry surveys, communications campaigns, and spokesperson LinkedIn posts, to position Leapsome at the forefront of discussions in the HR tech space.

Media Relations Management:

  • Foster relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure regular placements in relevant publications.

  • Elevate the profile of Leapsome's founders and leadership through proactive thought leadership initiatives, including bylines, award submissions, and speaking engagements at industry events.

Agency Collaboration:

  • Manage and collaborate with PR agencies (one in NYC and one in Berlin) on a day-to-day basis to ensure maximum impact and ROI.

  • Define PR trimester focus areas and targets based on business strategy in collaboration with external PR agencies.

  • Enable agencies with up-to-date messaging and access to spokesperson(s), ensuring alignment with company objectives, individual preferences, and sensitivities.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Write and edit English-speaking press releases, bylines, Q&As, talking points, and other PR materials to support media outreach efforts and public speaking opportunities.

  • Develop thought leadership content for spokesperson LinkedIn posts, articles, and comments to amplify Leapsome’s voice in the industry.

  • Collaborate with Content, Design and PMM to elevate overall Leapsome messaging for our brand guide, internal enablement or key web pages

Operational Support:

  • Maintain media coverage databases and Leapsome's Newsroom to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Social Media and Content, to maximize PR results and align messaging.

Who are we looking for?
  • 5+ years of experience in PR, preferably in a B2B technology company or HR tech space.

  • A genuine interest in how the modern workplace is evolving and how the right HR tools, data, and insights can help companies thrive.

  • Knowledge of and appetite to discover relevant business, technology, and HR media outlets, blogs, newsletters, and podcasts of relevance. 

  • Exceptional English writing, editing, and presentation skills, with a passion for storytelling. A firm grasp of German is a bonus, but the German PR agency handles written German opportunities.

  • Proven ability to manage PR agencies and media relationships across multiple countries.

  • Proven ability to collaborate productively with senior management to maximize PR opportunities for them, including preparing and coaching them for opportunities and highlighting the importance of prioritizing these opportunities in their busy schedules.

  • Strong proficiency in PR distribution tools and monitoring technologies.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to plan, work and execute cross-functionally, viewing PR as one piece of the Marketing Communications puzzle and not in a silo.

  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback to drive continuous improvement.
