The Role

Join our dynamic team as a Sr Principal Solution Consultant for the Performance Engineering team in North America and play a pivotal role in crafting customer-centric solutions that redefine industry standards.

As a Sr Principal Solution Consultant, you will collaborate closely with AspenTech sales teams to lead consultative discovery sessions, craft visionary solutions, and design implementation strategies tailored to customer needs. Your deep understanding of AspenTech's product strategy and value enablers will drive opportunities that deliver significant business value to our customers and AspenTech.

In this customer-facing role, you will leverage your exceptional business, industry, and technical expertise to position AspenTech solutions effectively. Your role will involve:

Your Impact
  • Leading technical engagement sessions to establish and improve customer utilization of AspenTech tools.
  • Developing industry-specific solutions, aligning technology with measurable business value.
  • Leading value discovery sessions, assessing customer needs, and presenting robust solutions.
  • Building customer-specific solutions on the AspenTech platform.
  • Crafting recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for Consulting engagements.
  • Advising customers on AspenTech solutions and services, establishing compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborating on sales campaigns, identifying key technical challenges, and developing tailored solutions.

What You'll Need
  • Experienced in consulting or pre-sales/technical sales within process industries like Engineering, Energy, Petrochemicals, or Chemicals.
  • Proficiency in one or several AspenTech Performance Engineering suite tools, particularly Aspen+, Hysys, or the Concurrent Engineering suite (ABE, ACCE, OptiPlant, Fidelis) or similar product is preferred.
  • Experience with technical and organizational challenges faced by the Energy and EPC industries.
  • Strong ability to bridge technology and business, articulating high-level technical solutions and their differentiated value.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills based on customer interactions and data insights.
  • Strong drive to convert pipeline opportunities into closed deals.
  • Knowledge of data science-driven workflows, multivariate analysis, and predictive maintenance is a plus.
  • Technology specialization in Process Engineering, Layout or Estimating is a plus.
  • Travel is estimated to be around 35% of the time.
