JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Fleet Safety Manager provides leadership and support to Customer Support Operations, Field Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and the EHS Department. The manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and initiatives to ensure the safe operation of our company fleet. The Fleet Safety Manager will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the organization to promote a culture of safety and compliance.  
This is a remote position anywhere in the United States. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies and Procedures: Design and implement effective safety policies, procedures, and guidelines for the safe operation of corporate vehicles, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for drivers and other relevant personnel, covering topics such as defensive driving techniques, accident prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Fleet Maintenance Oversight: Work closely with fleet maintenance teams to establish and maintain rigorous maintenance schedules and protocols, ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of all corporate vehicles.
  • Auto Claims Management: Oversee the management of auto insurance claims related to corporate fleet vehicles. Collaborate with insurance providers and claims adjusters to ensure timely and fair resolution of claims, while minimizing costs and liabilities for the company.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments of fleet operations and identify potential safety hazards or areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
  • Accident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into accidents or incidents involving corporate vehicles, analyze root causes, and develop recommendations for preventing future occurrences. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all accidents and incidents as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to fleet safety and compliance. Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including DOT regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives. Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting safety performance and areas for improvement.


JOB REQUIREMENTS 
  • 5-7 years of experience in fleet safety management or a related field.
  • Combination of large and medium company experience desired.
  • BA or BS degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Legal, or Business Administration.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work schedule and transition between projects and tasks seamlessly to meet deadlines and business needs.
  • Must be able to travel overnight up to 25%.
