Job description

Your mission

You will be working on the infrastructure of Hishab, and be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of modern services, software, and related infrastructure that primarily runs in the cloud. You will do technical research and development to enable continuous innovation.

What you will be doing:Â

Work on and improve a container-based microservice infrastructure
Deploy principles of Continuous Delivery (Versioning, Test-Driven Development, Code Quality Gates/Linting, Continuous Integration) on AWS
Automate repetitive operational tasks
Continuously monitor and optimize performance
Take an active part in architecture decisions and complex development tasks
Install, setup, configure windows and Linux servers on different data centers and cloud platforms
Design and implement backup and recovery concepts for data protection & recovery, and failover procedures
Continuously benchmark and monitor the security and health of production workloads
Identity access management
Empower developers with self-service tools to speed up development
Securing environments by leveraging industry best practices
Collaboration with multiple developer teams
When needed, prepare technical documentation for operators, partners, developers

Your profile

Completed studies in computer science or a comparable subject. Relevant documented work experience with relevant certifications can compensate (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, terraform, etc)
Proven working experience (at least 5 years) in a related context
Strong communication skills and problem-solving attitude
You should be familiar with most of our core systems and be an expert on a minimum of 3 of them. If you have experience with similar systems we will take that into account (example: aws->azure/google | terraform-> other relevant IAC tools) as long as you are willing to learn new technology and tools.
Experience in DevOps methodologies: Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, Build/Deploy automation technologies, Code Quality Assurance
Fluency in English

Experience in Agile/Scrum project methodologies
Security mindset
A passion for new technologyÂ
Self-driven as well as team-oriented work attitude
Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments and scripting languages
