Job description

Job Title: DB2 Administrator (Cloud Pak for Data & DB2 Warehouse)

Job responsibility:

Administer and maintain DB2 Warehouse databases hosted on IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as monitoring performance, tuning, and optimizing database configurations.
Implement and manage backup and restore procedures for DB2 databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Specialize in handling encrypted database backups and restores, ensuring data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations, backup/restore procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in DB2 administration and backup/restore technologies, and recommend best practices to enhance database operations.
Proven experience working as a DB2 Administrator in enterprise environments, with a focus on IBM Cloud Pak for Data and DB2 Warehouse.
Experience in implementing and managing backup and restore operations for DB2 databases.
Familiarity with encryption techniques and protocols for securing database backups
Prior experience with cloud-based data platforms and services (preferred).
Design, develop, and optimize stored procedures to support complex data operations and analytics requirements.
