Software Project Manager Role Summary
The candidate must show a deep technical understanding of development practices and have a highly organized approach to managing development teams. Candidate must have previous development experience including but not limited to web, mobile application, and firmware. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish and ensuring its success measured by internal and external stakeholder goals.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a large number of diverse and exciting projects
Ensuring project efficiency is maximized, team comprehension of deliverables is understood, and budget/profit margins are followed
Following Vog project management methodology and Scrum Master responsibilities
Supervising and leading development teams, quality assurance teams, and internal project teams to drive project success
Reinforcing time tracking and following best practices to deliver high quality projects on time
Auditing internal development hours, providing coaching, and finding answers for developer questions throughout the project (from internal teams as well as the client)
Liaising with client and internal stakeholders as a part of the requirements gathering phase
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
BS/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject would be an asset
2+ years work experience in Software Project Management
5+ years work experience in software development
At least 1 year work experience in Mobile Applications
Proven working experience as a project manager
Hands on experience within the software development industry
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle
