Background As a global organization, that has grown significantly in size over the past decade, CRS is now comprised of almost 7,000 people from over 100 countries who collaborate to catalyze transformational change. Four Strategic Approaches that will enable the agency to achieve the Vision 2030 Strategy have been identified. One key Strategic Approach is to build a more agile, innovative, and impactful organization. The Organization and Talent Development team within Global People Resources (HR team) is integral to shaping this more agile, innovative and impactful agency. **
Job Summary**
Acts in a senior consultant role and provides expertise in organization development, leadership development and talent management/workforce planning to department and regional leadership. Key responsibilities include designing global approach and standard resources to support organization assessment, culture, leadership and talent programs to build leadership effectiveness and team engagement. Consults with regional or divisional leaders on the design and implementation of large-scale culture change efforts. Applies deep understanding of needed leadership and culture to expand mindsets and shift behaviors to foster a culture of respect, equity, diversity, inclusion and engagement. **
Roles And Key Responsibilities**
Organization Development
- Serve as senior advisor to regional/divisional leaders (and CP leadership upon request), including but not limited to: conducting organizational assessments and organization re-design; consulting on the design and implementation of large-scale change efforts, workforce planning and talent management; working with leadership to foster a culture of respect, equity, diversity, inclusion, and engagement.
- Collect, share and publicize resources, tools and best practices for key initiatives, and convene relevant communities of learning.
- Establish global learning and behavioral outcomes, impact assessments, and feedback loops.
- Leverage approaches to advance REDI behavioral competencies and strategic priorities.
Leadership Development
- Consults with leaders and advises on leadership development solutions, including large-scale workshops, small groups learning circles, leadership coaching, social learning, and peer coaching.
- Design and facilitate in-person and virtual leadership development workshops for regional/divisional leaders and country program leaders/managers.
- Builds trusting relationships and safe learning environments with leaders across diverse backgrounds, identities, and contexts.
- Provides coaching and mentorship to team members around leadership development approaches and themes.
- Apply tools to support individual growth and organizational culture outcomes, including DiSC, and Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI).
Talent Management and Workforce Planning
- Serve as executive coach to senior leaders and CP leadership in assigned client groups.
- Develop and implement organization development and talent management solutions in partnership with related GPR departments, Regional HR and Country Program HR.
- Use assessments to support leadership development, talent development, workforce planning and coaching practices for individual growth and organizational culture outcomes.
- Build capacity of HR and team around organization development, talent management, workforce planning and engagement themes.
Management of Global Initiative
- Oversee CRS’ approach to a specific global initiative in Organizational Development, Leadership Development and/or Talent Management.
- Design the approach, manage implementation, analyze data, present to leaders and manage development of tools, resources and communications, as appropriate.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in organization development, leadership development, talent management, facilitation, capacity building, coaching, human resources, or equivalent.
- Experience delivering organization development interventions and talent management solutions within a global and multi-cultural environment.
- Competence and confidence in applying a diversity, equity, inclusion and access lens.
- Knowledge and experience with adult learning theory, leadership development, and/or coaching competencies. Coaching certification a plus.
- Certification in 360 assessment and personality assessments a plus (i.e., Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) 360 assessment or DiSC).
- Strong business acumen, business strategies and a collaborative working style.
- Willingness to work with a virtual team across multiple time zones.
Required Languages - English. French, Spanish or Arabic a plus. **
Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% internationally.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities**
- Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Web Conferencing Applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience transferring knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring, and other formal and informal methods.
- Demonstrated excellence in consulting skills working with executives/senior leaders and large-scale interventions.
- Demonstrated expertise in a broad array of leadership, talent management, workforce planning and/or organization development areas, with an emphasis on organization design, strategy development, staff engagement, implementing change, and organizational culture.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly assess organizational needs and culture and implement appropriate interventions.
- Demonstrates insight and creativity and offers options and solutions when approaching issues or problems.
- Is proactive in identification and communication of issues or barriers that may impede an initiative or compromise its success and uses critical thinking skills to identify and determine alternative solutions/approaches.
- Effective communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, with the ability to clearly and concisely share information and ideas with a range of senior audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships across the organization and to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise discretion and tact.
