The impact you will make:**

Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Director, Digital Marketing to join our GDD Marketing team. We want someone who cares about this important work, and who’s driven to connect to our mission of helping these patient communities. The Director, Digital Marketing will be responsible for developing, steering, and executing Patient and HCP digital marketing initiatives for Pyruvate Kinase deficiency and thalassemia. In this role, you’ll contribute to achieving launch goals for PK Deficiency, partner closely with other marketers and cross-functional partners on promotional tactics such as advertising, CRM, digital marketing, and media. Key cross-functional partners include the commercial analytics, patient advocacy, IT, market research, market access, legal and regulatory.

Ideal candidate is someone with in line marketing experience, sales experience, rare blood disorder or hematology experience and an entrepreneurial spirit looking for an opportunity to lead the digital marketing initiatives for rare hemolytic anemias.

The Director of Digital Marketing is hybrid or remote role and will report to the Head of US Marketing at Agios. **

What you will do:**

  • Lead execution of the US HCP and Patient Digital strategy for PK deficiency and thalassemia.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of the digital marketing strategy and operational plans with cross-functional partners (e.g., Field Marketing, Commercial Analytics, IT, Market Access, Medical, Training, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs)
  • Implement the brand strategy and plans and develop digital marketing materials which support our Patient and HCP Communities
  • Direct the development of strategic digital marketing programs for HCP and Patients, adjudicate metrics for program success, and evaluate performance against metrics. Manage within the established US PK deficiency / thalassemia marketing budget
  • Engage with Cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, influence and share findings across markets
  • Work with teams to gather market insights, monitor competitive landscape, and adjust tactics accordingly
  • Work with internal and external partners to define success metrics and analyze performance of digital marketing programs on an ongoing basis, ensure plans are optimized as needed to improve impact, and develop recommendations for future plans based on resulting measures
  • Cultivate relationships with and proactively engage collaboration partners in the development and execution of tactics

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of digital marketing experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • In-depth knowledge of Patient and HCP digital marketing, including web, email, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), paid search, display
  • Experience with Patient and HCP Omnichannel Marketing and enhancing existing digital ecosystems preferred
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of people and functions
  • Effective vendor management and ability to seamlessly execute on strategy, with a focus on digital marketing
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage both at the strategic and tactical levels, including demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to travel for meetings, market research, and conferences

Work Location:

Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on employee's individual preference. This role has the ability to be either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/ meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be required for certain company events commensurate to the above job description. **
