Duration Long-term Contract to Hire

SUMMARY:

• Works on network engineering team leading site network projects, changes, and some escalated troubleshooting.
• Expertise in LAN/WAN & site networks, the position also requires a solid understanding of data center, routing, switching, and wireless.

• Will participate in architecture & design meetings of the network.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Planning and implementing network changes on LAN & WAN at sites. Patching network devices.
• Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they arise
• Understand overall design of the network
• Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel
• Work with InfoSec team to resolve vulnerabilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• CCNA/CCNP Certification in Cisco is a plus.
• 5 years’ experience in a Network Engineer role or related position
• Knowledge of Cisco route/switch.
• Knowledge of router and switch code updates.

6. Knowledge of process of new site networks as well as integrations.

7. Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace

8. Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required

SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Reasonable mobility is required in and around work area. This will be mostly a remote position with some travel at times.

Ability to use telephone and personal computer systems is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements. This will be mostly a remote position.

2. Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions.

3. Must be able to travel to remote company and/or client locations at times.
