Essential Job Functions Responsibilities- % of Time 80% - Subject matter expert on all Data / Database technologies, Advanced Statistical Models / Data Science Techniques and Analytics Technology - Key thought partner for Email marketing teams in development of contact optimization strategies, personalized trigger programs and A/B testing - Builds new analytic capabilities for client by translating business needs into analytic problems and seeking out the data necessary through internal and external partnerships - Key Tech Liaison for Marketing with Data Engineering teams and responsible for ensuring accurate requirement gathering, managing expectations with Data Engineering and Data Services as well as Vendors - Identifies and drives strategic priorities for the Marketing team by participating in vendor selection, grooming and onboarding plans, ideation meetings and manages prioritization process / roadmap with internal and external stakeholders - Prepares and delivers executive ready presentations highlighting insights and recommendations
% of Time- 20% - Keep up to date with technological advancements / open-source adoption in the data science industry - Key participant in Personalization conversations with Tech/ Data and Marketing Teams
Education and Professional Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Decision Science, Applied Math, or another quantitative field. - 3+ years in Data Science or Advanced Analytics via predictive or explanatory models and/or experimentation processes. - Preferred experience includes collecting and analyzing data and driving insights to understand and shape customer experiences, lifetime value, segmentation, digital marketing, ecommerce or other business outcomes - Ability to synthesize sophisticated analytics topics, translate them into relevant conclusions/deliverables, and develop and deliver meaningful presentations, visualizations, and infographics - Core mathematical ability to understand, utilize and innovate on state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and/or statistical modeling - Deep understanding of very large data sources and industry best practice research methods and applied statistics, including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data mining techniques in collecting and predicting consumer sentiment, behavior and feedback - Demonstrated strong technical skills working with Python, Spark, SQL, Hadoop, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sagemaker, AIrflow and Spark on large data sets. - Experience working in a production environment with large data sets and tools including cloud architecture, version control, etc. - Experience with agile development methodologies preferred - Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors, and retail trends; knowledge of ecommerce preferred
