Job description

This is a remote position.

Company profile:  
 
I am currently partnering with civil engineering consultancies all over the UK. They all boast expanding client lists, including many of the UK's leading house builders, land developers, commercial and retail operators, educational establishments, oil companies, government agencies and local authorities.    

Their senior people regularly present evidence on transport, highways and infrastructure related matters as expert witnesses at planning appeals and inquiries.   
 

Requirements
Role in the company: 
 
You would produce high-quality infrastructure designs, secure approvals, and manage clients and their projects. You’d deliver projects on time and to the client’s complete satisfaction, working independently, to programme/within budget, building relationships with new and existing clients, preparing fee proposals, and mentoring and supervising junior staff. 

Essential competencies: 

Experience in highway, drainage, and infrastructure design 
Knowledge of DMRB, MfS and County standards 
Knowledge of Sewers for Adoption 
A senior PM would run 2-3 different jobs 
Experience in gaining technical approvals from Highway Authorities and Sewerage Undertakers 
Capable of managing own workload with minimum supervision 
Competent in the use of PDS/AutoCAD/Micro Drainage 
Good communication skills (both written and verbal). Report writing to a high standard 
Client facing experience 
Able to produce fee budgets and proposals 
Must be prepared to travel, working from the Company’s offices in Wiltshire 
Sect 104, Sect 106, Sect 278, Sect 38, DMRB and Manual for Streets 
 
 
Desirable competencies: 

Site experience 
Preparation of contract documents/bills of quantities 
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it 
Capable of supervising and mentoring subordinates
