This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the IT infrastructure.
- Configure and manage networks to ensure smooth and reliable operations for fulfilling company operations.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Ensure physical and network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
- Manage network access control and security, including implementation and maintenance of security policies.
- Participate in security audits, and system backups and recovery.
- Provide first-level support and triage to client environments ranging from wired and wireless system connection and hardware to servers and services.
- Work as a liaison for our clients and escalation teams.
- Monitor service and device uptime.
- Configure and install networking equipment as needed.
- Participate in upgrade/patching projects and maintenance.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot devices such as routers/switches, firewalls, servers/virtual servers, and phone systems.
- Provide technical documentation and operations support to networking, servers, virtualization, and storage technologies.
- Learn new environments and apply knowledge to new problems.
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, network engineering, information security, or related field
- 2 - 4 Years of IT experience.
- Experience with NOC or Help Desk required
- Experience with Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare required
- Experience with LogicMonitor
- Certifications are a plus, but not required
- Clear and effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks and prioritize those tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
