DutiesAs a Health Scientist, you will: - Serve as a recognized expert in health sciences for the agency with responsibility for developing policy and objectives, appraising programs, and initiating requirements for health science studies. - Serve as advisor for the planning, design, implementation, and analysis of projects. Assignments are of such breadth as to cover complex problems in public health issues, and/or research, development, and evaluations. - Design, oversee, implement, and conduct scientific surveys/studies or projects to identify and solve health system related problems. - Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on scientific operations that are critical to the public health community at large.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: conducting and providing oversight to scientific surveys/studies (i.e., systematic reviews and meta-analyses) and developing guidelines and recommendations relating to public health issues.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Salary$122,907 - $159,776 per year
