We're seeking an outstanding engineering leader to join us as a Senior Software Development Engineer. In this pivotal role, you'll bring your vision and technical acumen to drive our engineering team's growth and chart our technical course. You'll shape our technical strategy, ensure its seamless execution, and guide the creation of innovative solutions that balance speed-to-market, scalability, and differentiation.

As a strategic partner to our executive leadership, you'll help establish the culture and rhythm of the engineering department. Building relationships, accelerating product development, and achieving predictability will be critical to your role. Tech Stack: TypeScript, React/React Native, Next.js, Jest, Material UI, Storybook, Lottie, Knock, Redox, GitHub, AWS Infrastructure and Services: CDK, Amplify, EventBridge, AppSync, LakeFormation, Sagemaker, QuickSight. **

Responsibilities**

• Take the lead in developing and maintaining our React/TypeScript front-end, driving excellence in code quality and performance.
• Collaborate closely with diverse cross-functional teams to architect and implement scalable solutions that ensure seamless user experiences for all.
• Champion security measures across the platform, proactively identifying and resolving potential vulnerabilities, making sure everyone's data is protected.
• Mentor and inspire junior engineers from diverse backgrounds, fostering a culture of growth and innovation where all voices are heard and valued.
• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, open-source contributions, and staying up-to-date with industry best practices, making sure we stay at the forefront of technology.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to understand diverse user needs and translate them into elegant and efficient solutions.
• Utilize your 8+ years of professional software engineering experience to make critical decisions and guide the team towards success, adding your unique perspective to our projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and React/TypeScript development.
• A deep understanding of AWS and cloud security best practices, ensuring our platform remains robust and compliant for everyone's benefit.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and collaborating with a diverse range of talented team members.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering top-notch software solutions that adhere to high standards of performance and maintainability.
• An inclination towards open-source contributions, driven by your desire to empower the community with your knowledge and expertise.
• A tenacious problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, bringing your unique experiences and perspectives to shape our innovative solutions.

Chorus is an equal opportunity employer. Base Salary: $145,000/year - $170,000/year Total compensation package also includes performance bonus and stock options. The actual base pay can vary depending on various other factors and may be subject to change.
