Job Summary**

The Travel Media Sales & Marketing Executive is responsible for in-market sales of a defined city/region/state, accomplished by servicing and building an existing advertiser base of hotels; restaurants; resorts; attractions; and other tourism, meetings and convention, and international travel trade-related businesses. **

Responsibilities

  • Achieves or exceeds revenue goals set forth in written pay plan.
  • Meets weekly in-person with advertisers and builds strong relationships with existing advertisers and prospects.
  • Consistently uses CRM and maintains the records in a database, including accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Cultivates an understanding of existing customers and prospects’ businesses. In addition to securing advertising agreements, proactively consults with them regarding their current needs, target audiences, and industry trends.
  • Educates advertisers on how to effectively measure digital ROI.
  • Continues to deepen knowledge of the leisure travel, meetings and conventions and travel trade industries in defined city/region/state.
  • Develops new business through referrals from existing customers, utilizing of industry-related publications/networking with industry peers to develop prospective advertisers.
  • Serves as the go-to person that communicates the customer’s needs to the Miles Partnership’s production, accounts payable and customer-service departments.

Requirements

  • Must be based in-market in San Francisco or Bay Area, per client agreement.
  • 3+ years of related sales experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience selling print and/or digital advertising.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
  • Willingness to take direction if and when needed, but also work independently.
  • Ability to travel as needed by the department.

COMPENSATION: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 base + commission (anticipated 30k-50k)
