Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Lead Full Stack Java Developer to join our Application Modernization and Engineering Services team. This position will be remote located anywhere within the U.S. or Canada. **

Job Overview:**

As a Lead Full Stack Java Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

Responsibilities**

• Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and delivery.
• Contribute to the resolution of all requirements/feedback/scoping/design issues or questions directly with the client!
• Understand the unique business and technical requirements of the engagement and facilitate communications on the most appropriate solution design.
• Engage in the process of developing technical documentation efforts and creation of user stories.
• Estimating project development efforts and unit testing efforts.
• Developing and unit testing of code components per the user story.
• Conduct code audits and reviews as required.
• Conduct client demos.
• Ensure implementation, deployment, and backup is done following best practices and client standards.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor across a global delivery team. Provide technical support and leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and client.
• Participate in the creation of the WBS and backlog per sprint and assist the PM/SM in project planning.
• Independently manage assigned tasks.
• Attend sprint planning, retrospective meetings, daily stand-ups and report technical blockers to the team.

Qualifications

• Passionate coders with 8-10 years of application development experience
• Minimum 5 years of programming experience in Java and Sprint boot frameworks
• 3+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or comparable modern UI framework. VueJS experience would be considered a strong plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
• Client facing or consulting experience is a must.
• Experience leading, managing, and mentoring development teams. Experience leading global delivery teams would be considered a strong plus.
• Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments.
• Future technology leaders- dynamic individuals energized by fast paced personal and professional growth.
• Phenomenal communicator who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
• Financial services and/or Insurance industry domain background experience is a plus.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008.00 to $170,640.00. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
