Responsibilities**

  • Job Summary:

As the Lead Frontend Web Architect at CooperSurgical Inc., you will be pivotal in shaping the technical direction of our web applications, focusing on Vue.js and Nuxt development integrated with Contentful CMS. This role involves strategic planning, architecture design, leading development teams, and liaising with cross-functional units. You will oversee the design and implementation of user interfaces, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability while managing multiple scrum teams that support our websites, internal tools, and lab software. Additionally, you will be responsible for budgeting, resourcing, and ensuring seamless integration between frontend solutions and other business areas. **

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:**

  • Developing and defining the frontend architecture for web applications using Vue.js and Nuxt, ensuring integration with Contentful CMS.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of frontend developers.
  • Managing budgeting and resource allocation for the frontend development team.
  • Overseeing code reviews, maintaining coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
  • Coordinating with project managers, backend teams, designers, and other stakeholders to align frontend development with project objectives.
  • Ensuring a consistent and responsive user interface across various devices and browsers.
  • Implementing automated testing frameworks for frontend applications.
  • Facilitating cross-functional team integration and communication for system interfaces.
  • Participating in Agile/Scrum processes and being an active member of scrum teams as necessary.
  • Participating in Agile/Scrum development processes and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Travel:

This position is available remotely, with occasional travel to the Los Angeles, CA or Trumbull, CT or other remote possibly international locations up to 10% of the year. **

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in Vue.js, Nuxt.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience in integrating frontend applications with headless CMS, particularly Contentful.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring development teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in system design, API design, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and modern UI frameworks.
  • Background in working with HIPAA & PCI Security standards.
  • SaaS experience.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in developing customer-facing web applications.
  • Experience in working with distributed teams and external software vendors.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $121,000- $161,000. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
