General Overview:

The Lead Generation Specialist (LGS) is an inside telemarketing position. The individual in this position will contact prospects and customers in order to identify opportunities for the sales of Digital products and services. This is a first shift or ‘8 to 5’ job with a quota commensurate with experience and the needs of the business.

Specific Initiatives:
  • Cold Calling and Prospecting using telephone, mail and email
  • Teaming with Field Sales to qualify and schedule appointments
  • Self-directed prospecting and qualifying activities including mail , email and social media
  • Target Market Program Calls
  • Project and Event Marketing Activities
  • Trade Show and Meeting Follow-up
  • Cross-Selling and Up-Selling
Sales Process Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining activity logs, capturing prospect history, and weekly opportunity reporting in our CRM
  • Contract and agreement preparation
  • Proposal Pricing and deal construction
  • Database Maintenance
  • Database updates and additions
  • General Market Research and Competitive Intelligence
General Candidate Requirements:

Previous sales, or telemarketing experience is required. The ideal candidate will be an articulate, self-starter with a desire for personal and professional growth. A desire to learn and continually invest in your knowledge of the industry and the selling arts will be an important factor in your success. Candidates must be effective communicating in writing, face-to-face and over the phone. Attention to detail is extremely important. Candidates with a strong record of accomplishment in telemarketing and lead generation with a detailed understanding of the complex sales process will have an advantage in this position.

Specific Skills:

looking for a motivated and proactive person to take responsibility for generating new appointments by calling small to medium size businesses.

This person must have the propensity to pound out calls and handle the rejection that comes with phone appointment setting.

  • Conversation - premise based telemarketing (not scripted)
  • Yes, this is cold calling, so call comfort is a priority

Required Job Qualifications/Behaviors:

  • 2+ years demonstrable prior appointment setting experience
  • Strong verbal communications skills
  • Massive cell phone minutes will prove verbal propensity
  • High school plus associates degree minimum education
  • Training is provided
  • 40 hours/week
Required Credentials:
  • A sales-driven, goal-oriented, self-motivated personality and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness/ability to engage with customers within an in-store setting.
  • Some sales experience.
  • Willingness/ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 hour shifts approaching customers
