Skills Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in implementing and supporting retail networks.
  • Knowledge in LAN network routing and LAN network switching.
  • Knowledge in LAN/WAN firewalls (Palo Alto/Check Point)
  • Knowledge in WLAN (access points and controllers)
  • Knowledge in network troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge in DNS
  • Strong problem- determination skills and resolution experience (desktop and network troubleshooting)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related analytical field or equivalent experience



Special Qualifications:



  • Cisco CCNA certification, preferred



Work Description:



  • Provide network engineering support for the Palo Alto Firewall retail project.
    • Create jobs in the network console (automation system) to deploy configuration to Cisco routers and switches in retail.
    • Implement network changes via CLI if automation fails.
    • Perform problem determination tasks as needed.
    • Perform network validation once the cut over is complete.
  • Perform general network engineering tasks.
    • Upgrade IOS/OS on Cisco network equipment in multiple different environments.
    • Work on incidents/tickets in NE-OPS incident queue.
    • Work with project teams on determining root cause on application issues.
    • Perform packet captures on the network.
