Job Description:

The Lead Devsecops will lead an enterprise wide DevSecOps implementation and Performance Engineering activities across client custom on-prem and cloud-based applications. The candidate must be able to understand end to end SDLC, build relationships with IT, Business stakeholders and external service providers, develop delivery strategies and roadmaps, and manage major season opening initiatives.

Success in this role requires a technical and innovative mindset, a proven track record engineering custom transactional, web applications with cloud-native and API-based architectures, understanding of Agile, and exemplary project management skills. This role reports to the Delivery Manager and works closely with existing Product teams, Data Services, Platform Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with IT Leadership Team and Business Stakeholders to develop the vision and business case of strategic initiatives that supports building state of the art DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline.
  • Develop a practical roadmap to implement necessary capabilities and lead the execution through collaboration with various IT and Business stakeholder to achieve tangible results.
  • Work with IT infrastructure team technology partners, and solution providers to ensure engagement with the teams as well as strategic alignment to the plans and delivery roadmap.
  • Work with Technology Operations to model infrastructure growth and jointly create plans for meeting that growth.
  • Manage project implementation team; create an internal environment of teamwork, sharing, enthusiasm and mutual respect. Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments and progress.
  • Understands agile development practices in details, has strong project execution skills, and can demonstrate leadership across various IT functions.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work and Project requests. Procure, coordinate, and manage vendor/contractor support for custom and commercial business application systems.
  • Contribute to the recruiting, developing, and supervising staff in support of a high performing project team.
  • Develop and manage project scope, quality, schedule, budget, expenses, resources, vendors, risks, issues, status and communication.
  • Support, administer and enforce association policies related to human resource management, financial management, confidentiality, conflict of interest, acceptable use of company property and systems, diversity, equity & inclusion, and information security/privacy.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, inclusiveness and diversity through supervisory practices, communications, and demonstrated business behaviors.
  • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolves using network of peers and formal channels.
  • Implement and maintain robust application monitoring practices and integrate it with the 24x7 IT Services Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for business and technology.
  • Develop metrics and measurement to evaluate quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Holding the team accountable and being accountable for the process and product deliverables.
  • Contribute to the hiring, developing, supervising, evaluation and retaining of staff in support of a high performance and client-focused organization.
  • Build high functional partnerships with external service providers.
  • Ensure team(s) maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a relevant discipline required. Master's degree highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex IT projects
  • Experience working with offshore software engineering teams in a managed services model
  • Experience of implementing continuous integration and delivery in cloud environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams
  • Well versed at leading, managing and monitoring the analysis, design, development and testing of custom web-based applications using modern technologies and cloud
  • Thorough understanding of Application Performance Management best practices and methods.
  • Expert knowledge in Agile Methodologies, Software Development, and Application Life Cycle Management
  • Understanding of DevOps and all elements of software development life cycle in On-Premise and Cloud Environment
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, containerization, APIs and Microservices.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with great teamwork and interpersonal, relationship building, facilitation and communication skills, reflecting the ability to interact with cross department groups
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems using an analytical approach; decisive resolution of issues
  • Strong understanding of technology challenges and solutions
  • Hands on experience leading the team in custom development and implementation using modern technologies and cloud
  • Prior application development experience using Java or other web based technologies
