 Data Integration / EDI Specialist - REMOTE – 1537


Location: Remote 100%
Residency Requirements: US Citizens and all other parties authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. This position is not open to OPT/EAD or H1B – Corp to Corp is NOT allowed
Salary: $110K - $125K – based on experience




The Data Integration Specialist will work with internal teams and external trading partners to set up, test, and deploy to production, new data interfaces with large numbers of suppliers. These data interfaces include EDI, XML, CSV, and other proprietary data formats over Internet-based protocols such as FTP, HTTPS, and Secured FTP. The Data Integration Expert must be familiar with common Internet-based data integration technologies, EDI VAN terminology, and vertical exchanges such as Elemica and Exostar. Other technologies such as encryption (PGP, HTTPS certificates, etc.) are also important to understand in this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with suppliers and clients.
  • Receive supplier requests and determine standard or custom integration.
  • Track communications and properly record me in ticketing system for all requests.
  • Prioritize integration accounts within a client account and across client accounts.
  • Help resolve conflicts between organizations in order to automate suppliers.
  • Ensure any fees are properly invoiced and paid.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it pertains to EDI processes, requirements, testing and other specifications.
  • Work with engineering, client teams, and external suppliers to set up, test, and deploy to production, new data interfaces with large numbers of trading partners.
  • Understand software release management and schedule go live for vendor, pre-production testing, go live, post production QA and support.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge and understanding of web protocols: FTP, SFTP, HTTP, etc.; and ideally be able to write SQL.
  • Basic knowledge about EDI, CSV and XML files. Be able to look at actual data files and be able to verify files for vendors, provide input on correcting files to match specs etc.
  • Testing skills: be able to create sample files and test internally and make sure configuration setup on our end is accurate.
  • Basic understanding about mapping fields on the UI to the file specifications.
  • Other technical capabilities: identify a change vs a bug, be able to learn configurations.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
  • BS/BA, ideally in computer science or a related field.
  • Familiarity with finance and accounting systems.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role
