Our client operates coast-to-coast. Across our network of over 80 manufacturing locations, our business manufactures a range of precast concrete and polymer-based products such as underground vaults, drainage pipe and structures, utility enclosures and modular precast structures, which are supplied to the water, energy, communications, transportation and building structures markets.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Application Integration Architect, with experience implementing both Salesforce CPQ and SAP S/4, to join our ERP Transformation Program on a contractor/consultant basis. The client is undergoing an exciting business and technology transformation and needs a strong techno/functional integration expert to help successfully connect Salesforce CPQ to SAP S/4. In this role, the Architect will be an integral part of CPQ solution rollout and focused on utilizing combined power of Salesforce.com, Logik.io and the SAP S/4 ERP system to improve commercial process such as quote generation, price creation, price approvals and governance, order processing and contract management. The more thorough understanding of both Salesforce CPQ and SAP S/4, end to end Supply Chain & Financial business processes, integration best practices, and quality assurance best practices the better. In this position, you will gather requirements, design solutions, perform interface mapping and unit test deliverables. You must follow best practices, align internal SAP resources, external consulting partner resources, and partner with our internal integration team to ensure quality deliverables at all steps of the solutioning life cycle.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Utilize your expertise with Salesforce and SAP integration architecture and own the design for the overall integration solution.
  • Gather requirements, create design documents, and work with other experts at Oldcastle such as Salesforce administrators, SAP functional experts, SAP development resources, and the Mulesoft middleware team for the implementation of the design.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Sales cloud, Salesforce CPQ and SAP SD, PP, MM, PPM, and FICO modules and their respective data structures are required to develop a robust integration architecture.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external consulting partner team members for detailed solution definition & documentation, development, and implementation. Ensure that solution being developed will satisfy all business requirements.

Required Skills
  • Ability to gather business functionality requirements and translate to technical requirements for developers to execute the design.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce CPQ and SAP S/4 Quote, Pricing, Sales orders, BOMs, Materials, & Routing in a manufacturing environment with configurable products.
  • Understanding of Logik.io commerce engine and its association with BOMs and Routings.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and assess how business processes can be improved using Salesforce; Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives
  • Strong time management skills and demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team are required.

Required Experience
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing and managing package software.
  • 7+ years of experience managing a Quote-to-Cash application, including Salesforce CPQ and Contract Management with proficiency in Salesforce CPQ
  • 5+ years designing and implementing integrations between Salesforce CPQ and SAP S/4
  • Experience in implementing SAP SD and/or PP module and then transitioning to the Salesforce world with experience in implementing Salesforce Sales cloud and CPQ solution.
  • Experience in working with middleware such as Mulesoft. Person should be able to translate requirements into specifications for middleware expert to complete the integration tool configuration and development work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Certified App Builder; Certified Administrator/ Advanced Administrator.
  • Cloud computing technologies and infrastructure as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud
  • Expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management
