Engineering lead for vehicle level core attributes and requirements. **

Critical Success Factors:**

  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team in problem solving regarding complex issues, and to lead and facilitate those team discussions
  • Effective communication, written and oral; ability to write and present technical papers to management
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to lead meetings, document progress and delegate assignments
  • Practical understanding of automotive customers, their passion / pain points, and their needs and priorities

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

Roles and responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining requirements and signing off select programs though design verification CAD review and vehicle testing.

  • Conduct attribute assessments for specific vehicle programs. Ensure Core Vehicle Product Development delivery and build partnership with Vehicle Engineering Manager.
  • Review, update, and maintain the core attribute requirements and test methods that define the attribute team responsibilities.
  • Participate on a program team as the core vehicle integration engineer. Responsibilities may include environmental conditions such as hot and cold temperature extremes, snow accumulation and packing, and altitude considerations.
  • Deliver individual targets to meet cost reduction goals of organization.

Qualifications

Minimum and desired qualifications:

Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.

  • 2-5+ years of hands-on Automotive Engineering experience.
  • Attribute Engineering experience.
  • General understanding of vehicles, systems, and components (technical depth).
  • Understanding of vehicle engineering attributes (Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Performance).
  • Strong systems engineering foundation.
  • Strong leadership and communications skills.
  • Experience crossfunctional issues resolutions.
