The SAP Functional Analyst for Change Control defines the SAP security structure and protocols, conducts SAP risk analysis, and advises appropriate actions to address the highlighted risks, owns and continuously improves Change Control processes with potential system impact, and acts as Subject Matter Expert on behalf of Quality Assurance in the assessment, risk mitigation development, and approval stages of Change Control processes. Works with subject area Functional Analysts to determine archiving solution based on business requirements. The SAP Functional Analyst will have a strong understanding of the ERP business process/system platforms and the integration across multiple satellite applications. This role will provide leadership for SAP Security management via Roles and Authorizations and work with the Security team to ensure compliance through ERP processes. This role will assist and mentor functional analysts and developers with application projects when required.
The SAP Functional Analyst role includes the following but is not limited to:
Provide technical support to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to management; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.
Assesses or develops SAP security approaches and solutions, participates, or leads annual audit reviews and recommends how to proceed with the recommendations and requirements.
Provides leadership and support to projects, including security, change control and archiving requirements.
Leads archiving process with assistance from functional analysts.
Conducts the analysis of SAP security patch releases as they relate to the environment and make recommendations accordingly.
Manages and maintains SAP roles and authorizations.
Establishes and maintains SOD procedures and policies within SAP.
Conduct detailed analysis of all defined system specifications for changes in system and/or business requirements, or system configurations. Prepare applications documentation such as flowcharts and diagrams, to illustrate sequence of steps programs must follow and to describe logical operations involved.
Work with Business Analyst Team to develop detailed plans for system validations (Unit Testing, Integrations Testing and UAT).
Requirements
4 plus years of experience in SAP System Governance, Security, Change Control, QA or Architect.
3 plus years of applicable business experience in an industrial distribution, manufacturing, or relevant environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent career.
Have a broad and extensive understanding of the overall ERP Processes. Strong business acumen and an understanding of the end-to-end business processes (Order to Cash, Whole Sales & Distribution).
Certified level of knowledge in SAP ERP as relates to Security, Change Control, and Technical Archiving.
Deep expertise in two or more areas including SAP Security, Change Control Process, SAP Technical Archiving, Data Integration, Data Management, Network, Database, Servers, Storage, Collaboration, or other technical areas.
Strong ability to diagnose application problems quickly and develop effective solutions and ability to create Functional/Technical Specifications based on end user's requirements.
Strong organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work.

Ability to communicate openly both verbally and in writing to effectively work with varying levels of management.
