Job Summary**

The Workday Functional Solutions Architect is a key role on the People Technology team. This position’s primary focus is to partner with HR and other business leads and SMEs to meet evolving business requirements and lead enhancement opportunities, translate requirements, design, develop and implement system solutions improving the employee experience. Also provide support to daily operations support to human resources, managers, and employees.

This role is 100% remote and can be worked from anywhere in the United States. **

Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

Solution Design (60%)

  • Configure Workday solution from requirements gathering, testing and implementation.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables.
  • Continually identify areas of opportunity for automation and lead internal initiatives to implement them.
  • Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records.
  • Research issues and use independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options (including alternative solutions when necessary to address system limitations) to complex and/or controversial matters, including pros, cons, risks, benefits, costs, and unintended consequences.
  • Review, design, develop and implement system design, configuration, and functionality.
  • Identify, validate, and deploy opportunities to optimize Workday landscape (new feature rollout, process optimization etc.,).
  • Automate and Digitalize the Human Resources Processes with People technology solutions.

Operational Support (20%)

  • Customer centric yet follows the process to Supports end user and external reporting and data needs.
  • Creates and maintains end user and system documentation.
  • Maintains the data integrity with frequent audits and report.
  • Proactively follow-up with the customer to close the requests.
  • Maintains and improves the People Technology Brand value.
  • Work as an internal consultant, leveraging experience with HR technology best practices and optimization.

Data Analysis (20%)

  • Transform large amounts of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and business decision-making, using data visualization tools.
  • Ensure that the information is presented it in a visually clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to senior leadership level stakeholders.
  • Create thought provoking and professional reports and models using Workday, Excel, PowerPoint, or other analytics visualization solutions as appropriate.
  • Serve as an internal resource to ensure organization leaders are knowledgeable regarding the use of workforce data and analytics self-service tools.
  • Ensure confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Specialty certification in relevant Business & Finance related applications/technologies is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as subject matter expert in Workday domain.
  • Ability to develop business process strategies, independently configure and troubleshoot across HCM, Compensation, Talent modules.
  • Coaching resource for HR Technology team in solving and troubleshooting solutions with in Workday and other HR technologies.
  • Background and deep experience with Workday is mandatory with accreditations covering the full range of Workday modules or ability to demonstrate expertise
  • Engaging presentation style, with the ability to control and manage multiple presentation scenarios.
  • In depth understanding of HRSD, Human Resources, Compensation business processes.
  • A customer-focused approach to work, and the ability support in the development of digital platform strategies
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Ability to work effectively with others who are in remote locations and varying time zones.
  • Experience in enhancing user experience in building centralized employee portal with integration to Workday.

Required Skills

  • Deep and broad knowledge of Workday with experience of leading solution design and implementation across modules (i.e. HCM Core, Talent, Payroll for large and or complex organizations.
  • Bring a depth of expertise in understanding the touchpoints and interdependencies between modules, and third-party solutions and will own the solution design and lead the functional team to successfully deliver unified employee experience powered by Workday.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Understanding of PECI/PICOF third party payroll connectors to support payroll team.
  • With a broad range of Workday/ certifications, and with hands on configuration skills, you will work alongside our internal technology and consulting teams (RPA, AI, HR transformation and Finance Transformation), you will focus design on user experience to deliver best in class solutions for Spectrum’s global operations.
  • Develop proof of concept solutions based on business requirements and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Provide expert level support and technical mentoring to implementation teams.
  • Maintain deep, comprehensive knowledge of the capabilities and constraints from Workday and other HR Applications
  • As a senior technical member of the team, deliver hands-on configuration, development and integration services and serve in a delivery assurance capacity for all project deliverables.
  • Act as the People Technologies subject matter to the cross functional teams within the organization.
