Job description

The Role

The Sr. Data Analyst will join our Growth team and report to our Analytics Director. This individual will tackle MRO MaryRuth, LLC’s most analytically complex data problems in order to support the MaryRuth’s marketing and business strategy. The Sr. Data Analyst will utilize a variety of analytical techniques, identify trends and insights, and look for potential improvements in data extraction to help guide decision-making processes. This role is a full-time (40 hr/wk), exempt, fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage MRO’s business intelligence tools with an emphasis on scalability and actionability.
  • Maintain the data lifecycle, including consolidating raw data into a reporting layer to include groomed business logic and KPIs, partnering with tech functions to consolidate fragmented data sources, and ensuring data is fresh and accurate.
  • Working collaboratively across the entirety of the organization to aggregate and report on relevant data.
  • Use Tableau to build and maintain dashboards.
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required, with advance notice provided to the employee.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years proven experience in Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Consulting, or related analytical positions required.
  • Experience in e-commerce/CPG/Retail or another consumer product industry a plus.
  • Intermediate level of comfort with programming languages (SQL, R, Python, dbt).
  • Proven use of business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and MS Excel.
  • Beginner to intermediate level of familiarity with statistics (regressions, confidence intervals, margins of error, t-tests).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and system integrity.

Physical Requirements - Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. - This role involves sitting most of the time, but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
