We are looking for...

An independent thinker who can lead and manage brand and creative strategy on a group of brands (2-4). They should be curious, insightful, and passionate while being able to offer a unique perspective. This person must be able to lead and develop more junior strategists and also work closely with creative, media, production, influencer marketing and comms strategy to influence innovative and strategic work. They must have great writing skills, compelling verbal skills and the ability to craft great stories and present them with confidence.

 This is a freelance/temporary position. While this is a remote position, candidates should reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida or Texas.

 

Talents:

An ability to guide clients through brand development and positioning efforts. A great brief writer who’s willing to roll their sleeves up with other disciplines.  They should be natural leaders,  influencing brand direction through presentations, meetings and conversations. Their presentations should be compelling and persuasive. A solid understanding of primary and secondary research is necessary, with examples of how insights lead to a unique strategic perspective and breakthrough creative. They should be an individual that others look up to for inspiration and ideas.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads brand strategy and positioning efforts for clients
  • Builds agency intelligence; playing a key thought leadership role in the agency
  • Leads key strategic and planning meetings
  • Leads persuasive conversations on brand directions, growth and expansion of the business
  • Design innovative research approaches to solving problems
  • Research expert who can aid in developing business strategies while also maintaining a strong creative approach
  • Management and development of all strategists working on the business
  • Main liason and consultant to client on brand matters
  • Develop strong, proactive, and impactful relationships with all clients and across brand initiatives
  •  Writes inspiring briefs that lead to breakthrough work

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •  6+ years as a Brand Strategist
  •  Experience in developing brand strategy and getting to great creative
  •  Works with Comms Strategists and is experienced in social channels
  •  Working knowledge of various research tools and methodologies
  •  Skilled at audience insights and profiles
  •  Ability to reframe challenges and introduce interesting perspectives
