Position: Sr. Hyperion Developer
Location: Ideally SFL, possibly open to remote for a rockstar
Contract: 12 months plus
Some scope of work notes:
Enhance and support the EPM landscape of applications including planning, design and implementation of the Oracle/Hyperion suite of products which will be used to support planning and forecasting processes, manage changes in master data and collect, consolidate, and report actual and planning financial data across Finance and Business.
Responsibilities Leading the analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment and documentation of EPM solutions for business processes, including but not limited to Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Hyperion Essbase Studio, Hyperion Financial Reporting and other EPM technologies.
Analyzed and documented client requirements and developed/implemented customizations for Hyperion planning and forecasting applications.
Leading the project on infrastructure enhancement and migration from Windows 2008 R2 servers to Windows 2012 R2 servers by providing the requirements as well as guidelines following best business practices.
Involved in performance tuning to minimize data load and calculation using materialization of views for ASO cubes.
Migrated Application artifacts, Cubes, calculation scripts, reports from Dev to UAT and Production environments and Performed Migration validation.
Developed (Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, Deployment) new HFR reports for GL and FA cubes independently and collaboratively as support to Finance and Business partners.
Provided technical support and advice on the definition and strategy of best practices of EPM Hyperion for the client.
Extensively worked in developing Business Rules to meet functional requirements.
Conducted SmartView and Hyperion Financial reporting training for new users.
Created business rules that replicate the functionality of complex formulas existing in excel.
Developed Web forms for various users with POVs and Pages.
Maintained and supported Hyperion Planning applications also implemented application security process, created users/groups, security profiles and application access to different Groups using filters.
Involved in scripting and automation of Essbase Commands using MaxL and batch scripts.
Coordinated troubleshooting between applications and infrastructure teams.
Always proactive and performed analysis including monitoring, troubleshooting and quickly tackled issues to find a permanent resolution.
Worked closely with business on data validation and hierarchy changes.
Build up strong knowledge into customer systems, processes and infrastructure VBA coding
