Our Client is a part of the EdTech B2B SaaS sector, they are  are deeply committed to improving student success and college graduation rates worldwide by crafting digital experiences that build community and increase student engagement.

They are a SaaS company with 715+ educational institutions and 7M+ students actively using our platform across 25 countries.

Their goal is to become the world's biggest and best provider of student apps and portals across the entire student journey. Over the next 3 years, they will redefine the market, grow their business by 5x, and support more than 10M+ students across our products.

More about the role

The team pursues an aggressive external growth strategy through multiple, highly strategic acquisitions of complementary companies within the higher education industry to support its ambitious growth targets. 

For this strategy to be sustainable, they need to define a disciplined and repeatable model to support these acquisitions' integrations within the global organization.

Recently armed with the experience of 3 acquisitions in 2021, now looking to expand its team with an experienced post-merger integration ( "PMI ") professional to support the global Operations team.

Whether the future acquisitions are intended to scale, acquire new capabilities, or pursue promising adjacencies, the PMI Lead will help build the capabilities, systems, and processes needed to deliver bottom-line results to ensure every acquisition is a success for all stakeholders.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Create a repeatable model: define objectives and source of value, as well as a target integration model for recently acquired companies based on frequency, size, and timing of deals by building the processes that support consistent deal-making
  • Lead integration process while coordinating multiple stakeholders: define milestones & monitor the progress of the integration, identify and assess potential synergies and risks, and manage operational projects to ensure value creation.
  • Develop best practices & tools for future integrations: apply a comprehensive set of best-in-class diagnostics, frameworks, benchmarks and other analytics tools and capabilities to guide target PMI prioritization and screening, integration workflows and other essential elements of successful M&A.
  • Communication: Communicating with both internal and external leadership teams to ensure a satisfactory level of information and reporting

 

Whom you'll collaborate with:

  • Direct report to the Head of Operations
  • Regular interactions with the Chief Operating Officer
  • Collaboration with the Chief Executing Officer 
  • Management team of multiple internal key Leaders to drive the PMI activities (CMO, VP Growth, Head of People Ops, etc.)

What we're looking for in a candidate

  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills through formulating relevant research and analytical approaches in your area of expertise - Integrations/PMI, Business Separations/Carve-outs, M&A or relevant areas
  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively in an international group dynamic, often virtual, proficient in agile method of working
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to adapt communication style to interact effectively with a wide range of counterparts across cultures and seniority
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with the education and internet sectors are a plus

Skills we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in management consulting, with strong exposure to Operations (preferably PMI projects)
  • Professional consulting experience in relevant areas such as Integrations /PMI, Business Separations/Carve-outs, Transactions/M&A, or relevant areas is strongly preferred
  • Previous leadership experience with the ability to manage a team
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced Degree preferred)
  • Able to communicate in more than one language is a bonus - most notably French
  • Willing to travel globally

We are a fully remote team -  Eastern Standard Time or Central Time Zone - North America is preferred for this position.
