  • Support finance department with special projects, adhere to financial policies, standards, internal controls

Job Description

  • Lead and assist the general ledger team in the monthly, quarterly and year end close ensuring an accurate and timely process.
  • Apply ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies. Responsible for monthly recognition of revenue and appropriate cost accruals.
  • Monthly review and preparation of account reconciliation in Blackline
  • Monthly financial projections
  • Daily accounting function, including A/R, A/P, Cash Flows and functional interaction with any and all as necessary
  • Assist with utilization, support and optimization of various software systems and tools that will be necessary to automate the various functions covered by the CFO organization
  • Review of customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
  • Contribute to the year-end audit process.
  • Adherence to financial policy and procedures, including internal controls
  • Support Finance department with special projects.
  • Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of financial principles, standards, and practices.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables for creation of reports and files)
  • 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience with full ownership/oversight of month-end close and G/L accounting functions
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous setting with multiple projects and requests going on at once
  • Experience working in a product driven industry with multiple entities/divisions/practices/etc. (preferred)
  • Experience with revenue recognition within a product or service driven industry (ASC606 knowledge/experience preferred)
  • Leadership capabilities to lead a team, as well as execute on work from a technical standpoint

Details/Additional Information

  • This position will be a 100% remote role for the entire duration.
  • This role will be aligned to the East Coast time zone and candidates must be able to work 8:30am-5:30pm EST Monday-Friday with OT as needed.
