High Level Responsibilities
The IT Business Analysis represents the software development team to stakeholders, manages the software teams agile SDLC processes, gathers requirements, and works closely with the Director of Software Development. This role is very similar to being a Product Owner.
Responsibilities
Define the vision
• Communicate and meet directly with stakeholders to understand business objectives
• From requirements gathering to story writing, perform acceptance to verify the work completed meets the ask
Prioritize Needs
• Juggle scope, business needs, and estimations to prioritize work items
Managing the product backlog
• Write stories for the backlog
• Prioritize stories based on business strategy and feedback from stakeholders and management
• Identify dependencies across stories
Oversee development SDLC stages
• Schedule planning and activation of sprints, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Plan releases
Anticipate client needs
• Understand the business and anticipates client needs to manage the development process
Act as a primary liaison
• Gain buy-in from stakeholders
• Deliver clear instructions to the software developers
• Communicate and convert requirements into user stories
• Resolve blockers and gets answers when developers have questions
Evaluate product progress
• Is accountable for each stage of the development process
• Inspect, evaluate, and report on progress through each iteration
• Determine whether the work completed is acceptable
Extracurricular
• Evaluate Service Now tickets to determine if they will be accepted as stories and placed in the backlog or immediately worked as hotfixes
• Evaluate time logging, make sure all members of the development team are logging hours against their work appropriately
• Put together and distribute release notes and training materials in advance of a publish
Must have experience
• Excellent analytical & communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of individuals
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks. Well organized and proactive
• Proficient with MS Windows applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
• Experience working in complex enterprise software environment

• Working in global healthcare or similar fields
