Your missions

Clayton Services is searching for a Sales Director to join a thriving company in Houston, Texas. The Sales Director will be responsible for visiting clients on-site throughout Texas and leading their territory in business development and client retention.

Job Type: Direct-Hire
Pay Rate: $125,000 - $150,000/base + bonus potential
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and more!
Travel: up to 75% onsite visiting clients

Sales Director Responsibilities:
  • Formulating and executing long-term growth strategies and goals for the company.
  • Cultivating essential customer relationships to uphold the organization's strong market presence.
  • Conducting market segmentation ana lysis for users in mining, hydraulic fracturing, and industrial gearing/gearbox industries.
  • Identifying additional markets and targets in the region, such as rebuilders, steel producers, and sugar, to enhance the organization's market position and support its financial growth objectives.
  • Demonstrating the ability to map and penetrate organizations tactically, reaching key decision-makers.
  • Delivering presentations and negotiating with current and potential customers to enhance customer retention and secure long-term business.
  • Staying informed about current business market developments to evaluate the company's position and devise improvement strategies.
  • Creating plans and strategies to explore new business opportunities and achieve the company's sales and margin objectives.
  • Monitoring customer, market, and competitor activities, and providing feedback to the leadership team and other company functions.
  • Providing weekly reports on activities and intelligence gathered.
Sales Director Skills and Abilities:
  • Highly ambitious and autonomous individual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency. ​​​​​​
Sales Director Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.
  • Proven leadership role in a manufacturing sales organization.
  • Experience in the gearing and gearbox industry preferred.
