Job Description:
Summary:
The Agency Data Analyst will be responsible for working with multiple sources of data in existing systems and analyzing that data to show insights, trends and potential opportunities for growth and efficiencies in the deployment of resources. The Agency Data Analyst is responsible for and requires a thorough understanding of the ongoing timely generation, maintenance, analysis, and distribution of various Agency reports including ad hoc reporting needs and trending. Assists in the ongoing growth and leverage of the reporting tools available. Assists in the completion of user testing for deployment of new/enhanced reporting. Independently pursues reporting and data analysis opportunities to aid in growing Agency business.
What you will be doing:
Provides reliable data in a clear manner which accurately portrays information being requested (ie – sales, applications, premiums, partners, etc) based on cadence needed and adhoc.
Develops informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities.
Meets with internal partners to gather insight and requirements to provide valuable reporting to Independent Distribution partners. Obtain approval on content and format.
Performs regular reviews and analyses of partners downline and business.
Identifying insights and trends as relates to product sales, partner activity and operations.
Experience you will need:
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Able to learn new systems and processes quickly and translate into reporting/analytics needs
Ability to understand business needs and translate into relevant reports
Ability to work with charts, graphs, and other tools such as Excel and MS Access
Must be self-directed and highly motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study
1-2 years life insurance experience preferred
Knowledge of VUE, Agent Portal, Caesar
Mainframe a plus
Understanding of Tableau, MS SQL, COGNOS and PowerBI considered a plus
Skills/Qualifications:
Reporting functions (audit)
Ad-hoc reporting
Advanced Excel
Data Analytics experience is a MUST HAVE
Banking or fanatical is good
2 years of data analyst experience
