Job description

  Role can be based out of:  Midwest, Southwest or Northwest region

Summary

The Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts and expanding our market presence.  You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional sales results.  Your technical expertise in vacuum and air technology will enable you to provide valuable insights and solutions to our clients, positioning our company as a trusted partner in their success. **

Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share nationally.
  • Identify and prospect new customers, nurturing leads and converting them into sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our vacuum and air technology solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the sales management team, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering), preferred.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the vacuum and air technology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vacuum systems, compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Results-driven mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
