Our Saskatchewan-based partner requires the need of a Senior Project Manager with extensive project management experience in managing large projects focusing on implementing a customer-centric business transformation strategy. This individual will be responsible for directing and managing the Business Modernization project. The successful Project Manager will possess a combination of technical and leadership skills. They will have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, as well as the ability to manage teams, resources, and budgets effectively.In addition, they should possess excellent communication skills and be able to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members. They will also have the ability to identify and manage project risks effectively, be adaptable to changing circumstances, provide accurate and regular status reports and be able to navigate complex organizational structures. They will also have a track record of successful project delivery and be able to demonstrate their ability to drive results and meet project goals.
Mandatory Requirements: - Demonstrated experience successfully leading and implementing projects that involved major changes to business systems and processes through managing team resources, systems development, estimating effort and costs and planning and scheduling project activities. - Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
Rated Requirements: - Local Knowledge: Interested in understanding the Resource’s experience with SCIC, or comparable entities, as it relates to the technical and business landscape. Describe in detail. (This requirement will be heavily weighted) - Demonstrated experience as a practicing Senior Project Manager across a variety of sectors, working in multiple concurrent projects and managing complex technical projects with the ability to prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and milestones and work under pressure. (This requirement will be heavily weighted) - Demonstrated experience preparing or overseeing the development of project documents (examples include but are not limited to MS Project schedules, charters, status/progress reports, detailed budget, resource estimates, project management plans, schedules and proposals, strategies, project close-out documents including transition to operations and “lessons learned”). (This requirement will be heavily weighted) - Demonstrated experience in managing large corporate projects balancing several levels of government stakeholders and external vendor where strong communication skills are required. (This requirement will be heavily weighted) - Experience in large Digital Transformation projects considered an asset. (This requirement will be heavily weighted) - Experience working with co-located, remote and hybrid project teams, highlighting the use of virtual communication and collaboration techniques. Knowledge of Microsoft Teams is considered an asset. - Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment, highlighting the Agile frameworks employed and any Agile certifications achieved. - Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project management software, specifically experience with Microsoft Project Professional. Knowledge of Microsoft Project Online. Both are considered an asset. - Demonstrated experience with computers, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and SharePoint. - Experience using, or certification with an organizational change management methodology, while not required, is considered an asset.
Work Arrangements: This role can be done completely remotely but will need to support core Central Standard Time (CST) working hours. There will be the occasional travel expectation to Melville, Saskatchewan. Contract Employee Rate: $95-$110/hr
