Nosology Job Description:

Develop & maintain expert disease & procedure classification software, using proprietary logic-based programming language.
Update software w/ fiscal year revisions & other update deadlines based on official regulations & guidelines.
Tests/performs quality control measures on expert software.
Maintains coding expertise in classifications systems in accordance w/ official coding guidelines.

Skills:

Ability to use coding knowledge and clinical knowledge (disease processes/ procedures/anatomy) to interpret coding rules/regulations and incorporate into databases.
Strong database computer skills in intermediate logic design w/ intermediate programming knowledge preferred.
Ability to utilize coding expertise & logic creatively to find logical/easier ways to arrive at code assignment.
