Job Title: Account ManagerLocation: Mobile Role/NationalSalary Range: £36,000 - £44,000Car Allowance / Mobile Working Allowance

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our team at NCC where a role has become available in the Business Development Team.

The role is to cover selling our range of commercial courses and recruiting for our apprenticeship program. The role is mobile and covers courses delivered in our three colleges Bircham, Inchannin and Erith as well as delivering a range of courses nationwide.

  • Experience in sales and recruitment is crucial as well as a full understanding of the construction industry.

Role purpose:   - To achieve challenging Key Performing Indicators to meet allocated targets in England and Scotland, for the number of employers engaged and learners recruited, including ethnicity, gender and LLDD targets. - To lead the collaboration with employers, sector federations and other stakeholders, building and establishing strong relationships, providing specialist advice and guidance of the full range of services available within the Apprenticeship and Industry Training portfolio in England and Scotland. - To provide CITB colleagues with specialist advice where necessary, regarding Apprenticeship Standards, End Point Assessment and the range of industry qualifications on offer, including the technical content of each. - To provide potential learners with specialist and impartial Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) to ensure that they are matched to the correct employer and apprenticeship programme/industry training course and ensuring that they meet the necessary entry apprenticeship/course requirements. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities   1. Lead on delivering challenging engagement and recruitment Key Performance Indicators in England and Scotland. 2. Lead on the collaboration between employers, sector federations and other stakeholders in England and Scotland, providing them with specialist advice and guidance to support them to access technical training to support them to fill recruitment skills gaps in the sector. 3. Provide potential learners with high quality impartial CIAG, matching them to the most suitable employer and apprenticeship programme/industry training course. Signpost learners to other specialist providers when NCC cannot fulfil their requirements.  4. Collaborate closely with key NCC and Apprenticeship managers in England and Scotland, to ensure the apprenticeship programmes and industry training courses offered are well planned and that the delivery is of the highest standard. 5. Account manage a caseload of specialist employers and provide them with outstanding customer service and ongoing support and guidance with regards to specialist training opportunities. 6. Deliver technical keynote messages to employers both face to face and online, providing them with specialist support and guidance regarding apprenticeship programmes, industry training courses and the potential financial commitments.   7. Responsible for making financial decisions and managing issues in terms of discounts/sales/credit accounts and course viability. 8. Carry out research and labour market analysis to identify skills shortage areas and potential new opportunities for NCC to deliver. Provide senior managers with monthly reports outlining these opportunities. 9. Ensure the CRM is regularly kept up to date to record all contacts with employers and stakeholders. Provide managers with key information to inform the future offer and engagement opportunities. 10. Leveraging internal relationships to deliver continued customer satisfaction/updating colleagues on training availability/capacity and provision. 11. Proactively seek and analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and potential solutions. 12. Ensure employers understand their responsibilities in the delivery of apprenticeship programmes/industry training and the level of mentoring required. 13. Develop, deliver, and evaluate selection events to recruit learners to fill employer vacancies.  14. Make judgments on applicants’ prior attainment and starting position to determine funding levels and programme duration. 15. Work through the rigorous appeals process with the NCC leadership team to establish suitability and support required for applicants to access our apprenticeship program without the entry grades required. 16. Working independently with limited supervision and have an in-depth knowledge of the NCC specialist provision in both England and Scotland. 17. Provide learners with impartial careers, information, advice and guidance relating to career progression opportunities. 18. Follow all safeguarding policies and practices and be responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment where all learners feel safe, included and supported. 19. Ensure that all learners work safely and always follow all health and safety rules and regulations. 20. Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry professionals, employers and other stakeholders, to ensure that industry specialisms are kept up to date. 21. Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions to keep up to date with changing teaching, learning and assessment methodologies. 22. Always display positive behaviours and attitudes to colleagues and learners.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:·      Education and Training level 3 qualification·      Maths and English qualification Level 2·      CEIAG qualification Level 4·      Recognised Health & Safety Qualifications, or a commitment to work towards, i.e., SSSTS, in line with contractual requirements.·      Clear and proven successful Apprenticeship recruitment experience and Account Management experience in a business-to-business environment·      Must have proven successful experience in construction Apprenticeships and/or services and training.·      Ability to define client needs and design appropriate solutions·      Knowledge and understanding of Apprenticeship standards/SSP/CPCS/CISRS scheme rules.·      Ability to work on own initiative Exceptional interpersonal communication, negotiation and influencing skills·      Exceptional written and presentation skills ·      Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.·      Experience engaging with training organisations, construction industry employers and stakeholders·      Presentation skills and experience in delivering briefing sessions·      Understand Management Information Systems to be able to demonstrate and monitor progression towards achievement targets. ·      MS office skills packages, using technology such as laptops and tablets. ·      Experience in being responsible for own workload, diary management and working independently to tight schedules.  Desirable·      Level 5 Teaching Qualification·      Ability to build relationships and partnerships with private and public sector decision makers·      Experience of developing recruitment strategies ·      A working knowledge of CITB/NCC products and services to support employers
