Summary

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Program Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting our Site Reliability Engineering teams and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, basic technical knowledge in Site Reliability Engineering, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional projects to successful completion. This role will require close collaboration with technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects. **

RESPONSIBILTIES:**

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define project scope, goals, and requirements related to Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans in JIRA, including schedules, resources, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Coach technical team on Agile and Scrum processes and best practices
  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of technical experts, developers, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Drive the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, by overseeing project execution, monitoring progress, and managing changes as needed.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate when necessary to ensure project success.
  • Foster effective communication across teams, ensuring that project status, milestones, and updates are effectively communicated to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Work closely with technical leads to ensure alignment between project goals and technical implementation, providing guidance and facilitating decision-making.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that technical solutions align with business requirements and goals.
  • Continuously assess project performance, finding areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance project execution and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience with BS or MS or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive consensus, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Basic experience with platform and cloud technologies, architecture, and solutions, with the ability to engage in technical discussions and provide guidance preferred.
  • Basic experience with application delivery concepts like GitOps, DevSecOps, continuous delivery, software development lifecycles, shifting left, etc. preferred.
  • Experience leading a technical project focused on cloud or containerized infrastructure, preferred.
  • PMP and/or Certified Scrum Master certifications preferred.

Physical & Lifting Requirements

  • Lifting Requirements – light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
  • Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating and observing.
  • Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
