Power BI Analytics Specialist

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Develop and maintain interactive reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, identify key metrics, and design effective visualizations that meet their needs.
• Analyze complex datasets, identify patterns and trends, and present findings in a clear and concise manner to drive informed decision-making.
• Automate business processes and workflows using Power Automate or UI Path, creating efficient and streamlined solutions.
• Work with Power BI over a SQL data warehouse (EDW) and specify / assist with ETL improvements to the EDW to extend reporting and analytics capability.
• Conduct data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data.
• Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Power BI, JIRA, and Power Automate, and proactively suggest improvements to existing solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are met.
• Provide training and support to end-users, promoting self-service analytics and automation capabilities.
• Lead and support a PSA system migration project, ensuring smooth and accurate data transition between legacy and target systems.
• Implement and maintain JIRA workflows, custom fields, and issue types to support project management and agile methodologies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• 5 + years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer, Data Analyst , or similar role, with a strong understanding of data visualization and analysis.
• Proven understanding of enterprise-level architectures and data structures, especially with leading ERP / PSA products.
• Proficiency in using Power BI to create interactive reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Familiarity with Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow) and/or UI Path and experience in creating automated workflows.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify insights, and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, R) and experience with other data analytics and visualization tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Previous experience with migration projects within a similar industry or domain is a plus.
• Preference for a solid knowledge of JIRA and experience in configuring workflows, custom fields, and issue types.
