What You’ll Do**

In this role, you will be a key player in driving the efficiency, collaboration, and effectiveness of our product design function. Your primary focus will be to optimize the design processes, systems, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless product development from discovery to launch.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Design Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve the end-to-end design process, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between design teams and other departments, such as engineering, product management, marketing, and sales, to ensure a cohesive and streamlined product development lifecycle.
  • Design Project Management: Oversee multiple design projects concurrently, tracking progress, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Resource Planning: Collaborate with design leadership to allocate design resources effectively, ensuring the right talent is assigned to the right projects.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Collaborate with design leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for design operations and regularly report on progress to the executive team.
  • Process Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, guidelines, and best practices, making them easily accessible to all team members.
  • Tool and System Implementation: Identify and implement design tools and systems that enhance productivity, collaboration, and overall design capabilities.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in design projects and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.

Who You’ll Work With

On our Product Experience team, we focus on the user’s ease of use for our VantageCloud Lake platform. We reduce the complexity, and eliminate barriers and friction so that the user can transform their business through the power of their data.

You will work closely with design, engineering, product management, product operations, and other stakeholders to streamline operations, improve communication, and enhance the overall design delivery.

This role reports to the Director of Product Experience Operations. **

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years professional experience in any of the following: product design, UX design, UX research, service design, or related field.
  • 5+ years as a Design Program Manager, Design Operations professional, or a similar role in a fast-paced and innovative organization.
  • A portfolio showcasing your work and contributions that demonstrate a strong understanding of design processes, effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and influencing others.

  • Strong understanding of design processes, user-centered design principles, and design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience in project management, and resource planning
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of design tools and software used in product design and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Leadership qualities with a track record of mentoring and developing design talent.
  • A passion for design and a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.
