About the team:

Are you a skilled Product Liability Underwriter looking for a new challenge? Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as we transition to a new phase of growth and expansion. As a Product Liability Underwriter, you are key in evaluating and underwriting product liability risks while working with a strong team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate policy applications to assess each risk, indicate endorsements and limits, determine pricing, etc.
  • Exercise strong underwriting ability
  • Promote an underwriting culture based in offering creative solutions for broker partners
  • Engage in a supportive team culture that promotes collaboration, honesty, integrity, and values feedback and new ideas to drive growth
  • Collaborate in team meetings and actively engage in open dialogue with colleagues
  • Actively plan and engage in marketing initiatives
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Cross-sell afforded products and services
  • Travel assigned territory for broker visits, industry events - roughly 10% of the time
Minimum Knowledge, Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant education/ experience.
  • Extensive experience as a Product Liability Underwriter.
  • Proven ability to produce at a high level.
  • Exercise outstanding written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.

Additional Certifications that are a plus:
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
  • Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
  • Associate in Insurance (AINS) or equivalent insurance designation
