As a Product Liability Underwriter, you are key in evaluating and underwriting product liability risks while working with a strong team. Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate policy applications to assess each risk, indicate endorsements and limits, determine pricing, etc.
Exercise strong underwriting ability
Promote an underwriting culture based in offering creative solutions for broker partners
Engage in a supportive team culture that promotes collaboration, honesty, integrity, and values feedback and new ideas to drive growth
Collaborate in team meetings and actively engage in open dialogue with colleagues
Actively plan and engage in marketing initiatives
Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
Cross-sell afforded products and services
Travel assigned territory for broker visits, industry events - roughly 10% of the time
Minimum Knowledge, Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant education/ experience.
Extensive experience as a Product Liability Underwriter.
Proven ability to produce at a high level.
Exercise outstanding written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
Additional Certifications that are a plus:
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
Associate in Insurance (AINS) or equivalent insurance designation
