We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a C lient Accounting Senior Associate to join our team in the Client Accounting Services team.

This is a virtual position. A virtual position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. As a virtual employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client working, team meetings or training. **

The Client Advisory Services Team is a rapidly growing division of CohnReznick, where we partner with our clients to perform accounting, advisory and technology services. Our services include maintaining of books and records, financial statement close management reporting, assistance with state and local tax filings, virtual controller/CFO services, as well as accounting technology solution development **

YOUR ROLE.**

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Provide mentoring and training to staff level Consultants, including Accounts Payable and Billing Consultants
  • Oversee and review work performed by a team of Accounts Payable and Billing Consultants to ensure proper coding and accurate preparation of legal billings, vendor invoices, and expense reimbursements
  • Perform month-end close process, including the reconciliation and/or review of bank and investment statements, fixed asset schedules, and other GL account reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the accounting operations within client organizations, including client accounting software systems.
  • Preparation of audit schedules
  • Become a subject matter expert for the industry vertical(s) you are supporting
  • Proactively develop relationships and proactive communications with clients, staff, and internal stakeholders.
  • Seeks opportunities to participate in mentoring, recruiting, retention and team-building activities
  • Conducts oneself professionally and always shows respect to others; maintains poise under pressure, especially during stressful times and during peak periods of client engagement activity
  • Follows regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and the state society
  • Maintains appropriate compliance with all firm wide and local office policies and procedures
  • Responds timely and accurately to internal team and client requests

Your Experience.

Successful Candidate will have:

  • Accounting Degree, CPA preferred by not required
  • Experience in working with corporate accounting processes and procedures such as cash management, AR/AP, month end close, payroll and benefits
  • Strong Legal Services experience required
  • E-billing experience with LEDES preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, being highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project)
  • Proficient with accounting software packages
  • Experience with external audit facilitation
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Action-oriented (self-starter, team player, detail-oriented)
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines
  • Significant knowledge of accounting and finance processes and functions
  • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis
