In the U.S., Agios markets a first-in-class pyruvate kinase (PK) activator for the treatment of hemolytic anemia in adults with PK deficiency. Building on the company’s leadership in the field of cellular metabolism, Agios is advancing a robust clinical pipeline of investigational medicines with active and planned programs in alpha- and beta-thalassemia, sickle cell disease, pediatric PK deficiency and MDS-associated anemia. The impact you will make:The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for establishing strong working relationships with patients and healthcare professionals. The CNE will utilize their professional skills and clinical experience to engage with health care providers to deliver disease state education, genetic testing information, and approved product messaging. The CNE will also gain insights from clinical teams and office staff supporting patients with chronic hemolytic anemias to further their understanding of the disease burden associated with hereditary anemias, related diagnostic challenges, and the types of support they need for their patients. The CNE also supports the patient centric business model by providing disease and product education to patients and families affected by genetic disease for which Agios provides a treatment option. Territory to include this major market: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, LouisianaWhat you will do: - The CNE will lead regional education and awareness efforts of disease state, inheritance, diagnostic and product information to patients and caregiver through in person interactions, patient and family meetings and patient education programs. - Utilize approved messaging during in-service programs with healthcare professionals to raise disease state education and awareness of Thalassemia, PK Deficiency, and genetic testing options for the diagnosis of hereditary hemolytic anemias. - Ensure success of in-service programs through collaborative partnerships with local sales representatives (Hemolytic Anemia Specialists) and Agios Patient Support Managers - The CNE will pro-actively identify regional diseases state education initiatives. - CNE will identify professional chapters and advocacy organizations in markets that have a need for disease state and branded education. - CNE will provide quarterly and annual business plans and update their respective [Manager] and field colleagues weekly to ensure key stakeholder awareness and focus/teamwork is optimized - Work and communicate cohesively with team members to meet needs and provide opportunities for process enhancement. - Timely follow up on committed appointments and referrals to other health care professionals. - Provides updates on activity to regional colleagues, ensuring that the regional team appropriately works as one entity to support patients. - Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner that is compliant with industry mandated rules and regulations.

What you bring: - Registered Nurse, Advance Practice Provider, Genetic Counselor - Hematology background preferred - HCP education and/or clinical specialist background required - Exceptional presentation, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills - Ability to connect with healthcare professionals in a trustworthy manner to encourage thorough responses - Competent and comfortable utilizing technology including virtual platforms - Ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships; ability to influence without direct authority - Proven track record of working collaboratively and with flexibility in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, while maintaining operational quality - An innovative mindset and a proven ability to challenge the status quo - Ability to think critically, strategically, and cross functionally - Goal oriented, self-starter with a strong ability to self -manage - Willingness to travel 50% of time - Experience supporting rare diseases or hematology oncology preferred - 1-2 years pharmaceutical experience preferred - Ability to travel for work functions including ground and air transportation.

Work Location:Location Specific – Field/Remote: This is a remote based field position. Employees in field roles must reside within their designated territory. Regular conversations with manager are encouraged to ensure alignment on in-person presence/expectations.
