Ford Model E is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms,
batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up, breakthrough electric
vehicles. By joining the best software, engineering, design and UX talent, you will be a part of creating
new technologies and concepts that can be applied across the Ford enterprise. Being on the Ford Model

What Will This Opportunity Do For You?**
- You’ll grow your expertise and analytical skills through collaboration with a global, cross-functional team, ownership of a well-defined project, and exposure to new technology and tools used to improve vehicles and customer experience.
- You’ll work closely with hardware, software, and system integration teams to gain a foundational knowledge of low voltage electrical system architecture
- You’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience working on prototype vehicle integration, testing, and development activities
What Can You Expect To Do?
- Work alongside a cross-functional team in a lab environment to drive systems integration activities for all subsystems across the low voltage electrical system
- Support all low voltage wiring and firmware integration efforts to bring up and develop various prototype vehicle test assets
- Lead electrical troubleshooting efforts to root cause electrical issues and collaborate with systems engineers to implement unique solutions
- Derive and execute electrical test procedures for subsystem components to validate hardware designs and ensure functionality across all use cases
What Are We Looking For?
- Pursuit of a relevant Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work from the Irvine, CA campus.
- Must be able to dedicate 6 MONTHS for this engagement
- Candidates must graduate and be available for full-time work prior to September 2025
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators
Our Preferred Requirements
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, with hands-on electronics experience including prototyping, troubleshooting, and repair
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, ETH, etc.
- Familiarity with microcontroller hardware and discrete electronic components
