Job description

Description:

  • Scrum Master Facilitates preparation and readiness for Release Planning and Inspect & Adapt ceremonies
  • Schedules team ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Retrospective, and Sprint Demo Works to remove impediments so the team can remain focused on achieving sprint objectives
  • Facilitates team continuous improvement Coordinates with other ScrumMasters in the Scrum-Of-Scrums
  • Coordinates between teams for work that crosses teams
  • Lead projects in a transparent and productive way, applying agile project management practices.
  • Develop the statement of work, budget, plan and schedule and communicate them effectively.
  • Work directly with-IT Finance Administration to manage project actual and impact to IT budget.
  • Obtain necessary Systems resources for your project teams and reconcile
  • Systems project time reporting to ensure accurate labor hours are depicted.
  • Obtain business resources where appropriate.
  • Matrix manages project resources from other groups who are fulfilling roles in your projects.
  • Facilitate vendor contracts, statement of work agreements and relationship between Corporate, Vendor and IS to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and ensure suitable training plans are incorporated into technology rollout.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • This includes regular team updates on IT project execution, such as project status meetings, monthly project reviews and other collaboration opportunities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time/on budget and meeting stakeholders expectations.
  • Conduct retrospective and project closure.
  • Act as champion of change and facilitate change management process within the business to ensure project benefits are ascertained.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional growth in agile project/program management and other key areas.
  • Perform other critical tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Prior Project management experience, in a company or department with a heavy emphasis on technology
  • Solid project management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple medium to large projects in a cross functional environment
  • Experience working in an agile environment Understanding of how to leverage business applications for competitive advantage
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Ability to manage a multi-functional team providing leadership and support to ensure project objectives are met
  • Experience working in Annuity or Life insurance Strong analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Understanding of how to leverage business applications for competitive advantage
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Ability to ascertain communication styles of team members and contractors from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Ability to work with stakeholders with varying interests and facilitate consensus towards a solution
  • Must have ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
