DESCRIPTION

Cloudmed is seeking a Power BI Solutions Analyst to join the growing Enterprise Analytics (EA) department, a lean, high performing, cross-functional team who delivers business intelligence to all levels of Cloudmed. This role will work cross-functionally within the EA department. The core responsibility for this role includes working with stakeholders to synthesize their reporting needs into Power BI technical requirements, manage the Power BI development backlog of user stories, including prioritization, user acceptance testing, and production release oversight. This individual must possess a self-driven demeanor and a sense of ownership ensuring their products are developed and released efficiently, accurately and to our stakeholders expectations all while working equally effectively both independently and collaboratively with other members of the EA and Operations teams as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage entire life cycle of a reporting request from requirement gathering to production release oversight
  • Be a trusted business partner with stakeholders during discovery, requirements gathering and prioritization of requests
  • Form a deep understanding of your portfolios products, process, technology, and data
  • Effectively and clearly communicate the what, the why and the how to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work closely with engineering developers to ensure the highest quality delivery of production releases
  • Attend and be an active participant in all agile methodology meetings with engineering developers and Team Lead
  • Implement Power BI development best practices at scale
  • Stay informed on newly released Power BI features and recommend where implementation, of said features, could improve our business intelligence
  • Querying T-SQL databases to translate stakeholder requirements to technical terminology for engineering developers
  • Conceptualizing and building data models, stored procedures and views required for reporting and business intelligence
  • Be a team player with a self-driven, positive attitude while interacting and supporting fellow EA team members as needed
  • Be a critical thinker, ask questions as needed and have a desire to learn more and grow as a professional

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Master's degree with a focus on business, statistics, computer science, data science, analytics or other related field
  • 3 - 5 years experience in an analytics related role managing the development of business intelligence, data models and reporting tools
  • Strong proficiency of Transactional SQL and Microsoft Power BI technologies
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies such as Kanban or Sprints
  • Nimbleness and comfort with ambiguity; ability to respond quickly to rapidly evolving opportunities and priorities
  • Prior exposure to and experience with business leaders and users in such diverse business functions as operations, product, business strategy, finance and data science
  • Uncompromising attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving, with good data intuition (i.e., an ability to look at analytical results and assess their reasonableness)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced matrixed environment, with a results-driven team-oriented culture
