The Administrative Assistant with the Breast Center for Howard County General Hospital is responsible for gathering necessary data, entering appropriate data in the computer, ensuring, all necessary paperwork is complete and signed by patients in order to register patients for all outpatient services. Responsible for collecting, verifying, and monitoring health information relating to visits. This includes documentation related to coding and billing reimbursement to ensure the facility is reimbursed correctly and timely. Provides broad administrative and secretarial support to the Breast Center.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or general education diploma required
Minimum of three (3) years of experience required
Experience to include exposure to a busy office setting
Physical Demands:
The position is located in a normal office environment and requires come flexibility of working hours. Routine office work requires extensive sitting, and may require bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting no more than 25 pounds.
