Position : Product Manager (Innovation & Product Development Lifecycle Management)

Job Description

As a Product Manager within the Manufacturing Technology Innovation team, you will be responsible for the product vision, roadmap, and product backlog within the business area of Innovation & Product Development.

You will act as the connector between functional needs and technology ensuring that we are always working on the things that creates value for our consumers and the business.

This also includes delivery of our new Digital Strategy and Crafting & Supply Strategy 2026 and the ambition of creating the SMART factory and Data-driven organization. You will focus on driving the product agenda for the most critical part of the strategy, i.e., shaping and implementing the new digital ecosystem for end-to-end product development, product innovation and process improvement.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Take the ownership of the Product Backlog for product teams and be responsible for prioritizing and maintaining it with the broader stakeholder group
  • Own development of product features, including management and preparation of quarterly planning, and ensure that the development team is working on items that will deliver the most significant customer and business value
  • Help facilitate the successful implementation and adoption of solutions including strategic decision making on management of overall risk to daily execution and overarching change management efforts with senior stakeholders to pave the way for adoption
  • Mentor and groom a dynamic Business Analyst team, providing leadership and motivation to the team members
  • Collaborate with Engineering Manager to groom the self-organizing product teams
  • Holistically manage and drive improvement of the product management process from strategy creation, product planning and development, launch and optimize the product through the lifecycle by coordinating with business & technology stakeholders
  • Work with the product owners and other stakeholders to ensure appropriately refined features according to definition of ready as well as definition of done
  • Work with Engineering Managers and Solution Architects to create a holistic technical solution design, explore the possible technical solution and architectural runway also encompassing technical enablers, non-functional requirements, and improvements to ways of working
  • Facilitate key events and orchestrate the delivery with delivery manager, scrum master, and product team including facilitation of sprint planning, sprint review, product demos, and sprint retrospective, etc
  • Work with vendors to embrace Pandoras delivery model and become integrated part of long-standing product teams
  • Own accountability for long-term product success from a technology point of view, including accountable for building technical excellence (built-in quality)
  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across product domain such as Scrum of Scrum and, Product Owner sync and Leadership meetings, as well as manage dependencies with broader organization
  • Work with senior leadership and the business owner group within your focus area to form and convert strategic vision into roadmaps including to set the clear objectives and key results for new initiatives and create complex Lean Business Canvas that include market analysis, costs, business/user benefits, OPEX & CAPEX calculations, sensitivity analysis
  • Participate in portfolio alignment activities to ensure dependencies are managed and funding/approval processes are followed. Manage and communicate the backlog delivery and progress with Product Management and Solution Architects, including tracking, perform measurements and metrics (e.g., burn down charts)
  • Monitor alignment of the roadmap and overall strategic vision and collaborate with Digital & Technology functions on lean portfolio management and overall reporting
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards & guidelines e.g., vendor, architecture, and cybersecurity, manage technology interdependencies on functionality or timeline

Qualification :

  • 5+ years of software product management experience within Agile organizations
  • Experience on manufacturing and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application/platform implementation for manufacturing as a mandatory
  • Strong experience in enterprise IT management, technology consulting, advisory or professional services
  • Strong stakeholder management to ensure a holistic perspective is gathered and backing for product backlog and priorities is ensured
  • Advanced client-facing skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems, influence and negotiate with customers
  • Ensure user stories communicate business needs to scrum team, solicits customer input and feedback on digital technology
  • Independent, proactive, and structured. Ability to ensure progress and commitment to deadlines
  • Ability to create and clearly communicate the product vision and backlog to both senior stakeholders and team members
  • Be a servant leader who can make decisions, prioritize, and manage risk but who always empowers the teams to decide on the how
  • Pragmatic in striking balance between short term gains and long-term strategic ambitions (e.g., technical debt)
  • Understand technology platforms, trends and can activate technical expertise in the organization
  • Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
  • Business acumen and politically astute, ability to act with diplomacy and sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Combination of strategic and analytical insights with a passion for technology
