Operations Manager - Power Distribution Design – REMOTE Description

Our client in the electric utility industry is looking for a team-oriented Operations Manager to add to their Power Distribution division. This position offers the flexibility to work 100% remotely from anywhere in the United States. In-person visits to the office are required for initial training, quarterly meetings, and as needed. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will provide leadership for 1-4 Project Supervisors plus entire project teams (~30-50 people) to generate solutions and CAD designs for the distribution and delivery of electricity. The ideal candidate has strong project management and technical skills in distribution design, plus prior team management experience. To be successful, you must be tech-savvy, an excellent problem solver, and able to lead a large team through complex tasks. Operations Manager - Power Distribution Design – REMOTE Responsibilities

•    Support and oversee multiple electricity distribution project teams across various clients
•    Ensure that project milestones and scope are achieved within approved budgets
•    Evaluate issues, provide resolution, and communicate to management
•    Ensure all projects, initiatives, and processes conform to strategic company objectives
•    Proactively identify areas for process improvement & implement change
•    Project-specific task & metric tracking
•    Work closely with Project Engineering, Project Management & Operations Teams
•    Monitor and report on labor utilization factors
•    Review and interpret general designs, engineering schematics, data, and notes
•    Implement best practices for maximizing resource management
•    Review and report on KPIs 
•    Responsible for team mentoring, training, and professional development 
•    Execute personnel performance management, including annual reviews and improvement plans

Operations Manager - Power Distribution Design – REMOTE Qualifications

•    5+ years of operations, design, or project management in the power utility industry is required
•    3+ years of management or supervisory experience is required
•    Experience with distribution design & Make Ready Engineering (MRE) is required
•    Ability to read and comprehend engineering schematics & CAD designs is required
•    Ability to travel to the corporate office for 2wk initial training + quarterly meetings is required
•    Valid driver’s license, insurance, & reliable transportation required
